Who we are
This website, dormer-windows.com, is operated as an independent lead-generation and information service for dormer window, dormer loft conversion and dormer roofing work in the United Kingdom.
The data controller for personal information collected through this website is S&K Group Holdings Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 16703925), registered office Unit 1 Hems Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in this policy mean that company.
You can contact us about any privacy matter by email at sales@dormer-windows.com or by post at the registered office above.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — name, telephone number, email address, postcode, the service you are interested in, your timeframe and any message you write.
- Live chat — the contents of any chat conversation, plus any name, phone number, email address or postcode you provide in the pre-chat form.
- Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring source, collected through Google Analytics 4.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a survey or quotation — necessary for steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To pass your enquiry to a vetted specialist installer covering your area — our legitimate interest, and yours, in connecting you to a contractor who can carry out the work. We tell you at the point of enquiry that this is what happens.
- Analytics and site improvement — your consent, given through the analytics cookie.
- Legal and accounting records — compliance with our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Specialist installers — the contractor covering your area, so they can contact you about your enquiry.
- Web3Forms — processes and delivers form submissions to us.
- Tawk.to — provides the live chat service.
- Google (Analytics 4) — provides website analytics.
- Netlify — hosts this website.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where that happens, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Where a contract is entered into, records are kept for six years to meet accounting and limitation obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have your data erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*) — measures how the site is used. Set only with your consent. - Tawk.to — maintains your live chat session so a conversation continues across pages.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect how the site works.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy periodically. Any material change will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
